Chicken Tacos

Easy chicken tacos recipe made from shredded chicken cooked in a green chili salsa, served in taco shells with a variety of fun and delicious toppings
Ingredients -
 
1/4 cup Green Onion, chopped
1 tablespoon Butter or Margarine
2 cup cooked Chicken, shredded
1 (8 ounces) can Green Chili Salsa
Salt, to taste
12 Taco Shells
1 cup grated Cheddar Cheese
Chopped Lettuce
Chopped Tomato
Sour Cream
Guacamole
Salsa
 
Preparation:
 
1. In small saute pan heat butter over medium heat. Add onion and sute until soft and translucent.

2. Add chicken and green chili salsa.

3. Allow chicken filling to boil.

4. Remove from heat.

5. Place chicken and tablespoon of cheese across bottom of shells

 
Variations and Recipe Ideas:
Serve with lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guacamole and salsa.

Marinate meats in plastic bags, containers or glass bowls for best results. Avoid metal.

Quick Green Chili Salsa (Salsa Verde)
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine 1 large tomato, chopped, 1 green chile, chopped, 1 small onion, chopped and 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt. Allow flavors to marry for at least 30 minutes.
