Taco Salad

Seasoned ground beef with onion, tomato, ranch sytle beans, sharp cheese, and lettuce, served over taco chips and topped with Catalina salad dressing. Fun, anytime style taco salad dish.
Ingredients -
 
1 pound Ground Beef
1 package Taco Seasoning Mix
1 medium Purple Onion, diced
1 head Iceberg Lettuce, shredded
1 medium Vine-Ripened Tomato, diced
1 (15 ounces) can Ranch Style Beans, drained
1 cup shredded Cheddar or Colby Jack Cheese
1 (8-10 ounces) bag of Frito Taco Chips
1 small bottle of Catalina Dressing
 
Preparation:
 

1. Brown ground beef in a large skillet. Drain off any excess fat.

2. Add taco-seasoning mix and prepare according to directions.

3. Combine onion, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese.

4. Drain ranch style beans in strainer.

5. To serve, place fritos on serving platter.

6. Spoon seasoned ground beef over taco chips.

7. Spoon the vegetable mixture over ground beef.

8. Drizzle Catalina over taco salad, over serve on the side.

Cooking Tip

Catalina Dressing
Add 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup red wine vinegar, 1/2 cup grated white onion, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce, to food processor. Pulse until blended. With the food processor running, slowly add 1 cup vegetable oil. Season with coarse salt and fresh ground black pepper. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
